HPC-09 v6 - Lean Quality Factors

As we saw earlier,  Lean Production, or simply "Lean" defines the Seven Wastes denoted by the Japanese term "Muda".

"Lean" is the set of "tools" that assist in the identification and steady elimination of waste. As waste is eliminated quality improves while production time and cost are reduced.

Here we will focus on how HPC-09 v6 improves Quality by reducing 3 of the 7 wastes memorized by the TIMWOOD abbreviation, namely the DOW wastes. As you may remember, the 7 wastes are: Transportation,   Inventory, Motion, Waiting , Over-processing, Over-production and Defects.

  • Strands (tendons, wire) being cut too early and thereby wasting the production of an entire bed!
